The affairs of the Chamber shall be held by a Board of Directors consisting of a number of not less than fifteen members, as follows:
1. The president of each local Chamber and a member chosen by its board of directors. If the number of industrial institutions affiliated with it is less than a certain limit, then the president and the member shall be determined according to a regulation issued in accordance with the provisions of this law.
2. One or more additional representatives chosen by the Board of Directors representing a number of industrial establishments which exceed the limit referred to in item (1) of this paragraph, provided that this number is determined in accordance with the system referred to in item (1) of this paragraph.
3. A member for each industrial sector that is elected by the industrial institutions registered in this sector.
4. One member representing craft institutions.
Tasks and powers of the Board
In accordance with the Chamber of Industry Law, the Council assumes the following tasks and powers:
A. Proposing the Chamber's policy and work plan and supervising its implementation.
B. The Chamber's Administrative and Financial Affairs Department.
C. Working to achieve the chamber’s goals and tasks.
D. Inviting the general assembly to meet and discuss the council’s recommendations.
E. Looking after the interests of the industrialists and defending their rights.
F. Approving the instructions related to the Chamber's administrative and financial affairs, including the instructions related to personnel affairs and supplies.
G. Cooperate with the relevant authorities in preparing draft legislation related to industry and the economy.
H. Forming the necessary committees to implement the provisions of this law and the regulations issued pursuant thereto.
I. Any other matters that achieve the goals of the Chamber and the industrial sector in the Kingdom.
