Wood and furniture industries sector is one of the most important industrial sectors in the Kingdom. Its growth is largely linked to the growth of the construction and construction sectors. Its products are used in the equipment of restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, and many other economic activities.
The Jordanian furniture industry has kept pace with the latest designs and trends in the target markets. New designs and methods are developed to satisfy the tastes of consumers. This industry is also distinguished by its use of the latest technologies and modern equipment to meet international quality standards.
This sector is also a handicraft sector par excellence. The sector's establishments rely on skilled labor that is characterized by high skill, accuracy, and creativity. This has led to the distinction of this sector and raised its competitiveness in the local and foreign markets. This reflects the artisanal nature of the sector and its dependence to a large extent on small workshops spread over a wide geographical area of the Kingdom.
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, which adopted the industrial sectors and defined the sub-sectors, the wood and furniture industries sector includes the following sub-sectors: manufactured wood, carpentry and decoration works, articles made of cork and straw, glass household and packaging products, ceramic household products, metal and wooden home and office furniture, kitchens, specialized furniture, furniture parts, other furniture products, furniture services, and any other similar industries within this sector.
