The Sector Affairs Management Unit aims to support the industrial sectors in dealing
with the various issues and challenges facing them especially procedures related to
dealings with official agencies whose work intersects with the industrial sector. This is
done through continuous follow-up and direct coordination with industrial companies
through representatives of industrial sectors in the chamber's board of directors to
raise the efficiency and competitiveness of industrial establishments and increase
their exports to foreign markets.
The unit is the point of contact between the industrial companies from the various
sub-industrial sectors on the one hand and the governmental and donor bodies on
the other hand in a way that contributes to raising the level of overlap between them,
as well as solving the problems and challenges they face them in a way that
contributes to raising their competitiveness and prosperity.
It should be noted that according to the Cabinet Resolution of the month of August of
the year 2005 issued under the Chamber of Industry Law No. 10 of 2005, the
industrial sectors in Jordan are divided into ten sub-sectors:
1. Chemical and Cosmetic Industries Sector.
2. Therapeutic Industries and Medical Supplies Sector.
3. Mining Industries Sector.
4. Plastic and Rubber Industries Sector.
5. Packaging, Paper, Cardboard and Office Supplies Industries
6. Wood and Furniture Industries Sector.
7. Construction Industries Sector.
8. Engineering, Electrical and Information Technology Industries Sector.
9. Food, Catering, Agricultural and Livestock Industries Sector
10. Leather and Garment Industries Sector.
